Ingredients
Filling
- 1 40 oz can of sweet potatoes (yams) or fresh sweet potatoes
- (1 cup of white sugar IF using fresh sweet potatoes ONLY)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1/3 cup of butter
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Topping
2 cup of brown sugar (light)
2 cup of chopped pecans
2/3 cup of flour (all purpose)
2/3 cup of melted butter
Instructions
- Pour sweet potatoes and their liquid into pan and bring to a boil
- Cook sweet potatoes until tender (~ 15 minutes)
- Drain and mash sweet potatoes
- Mix filling ingredients together
- Spread into cooking pan
- Mix topping ingredients together
- Sprinkle topping over the filling
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes
