Ingredients

Filling

  • 1 40 oz can of sweet potatoes (yams) or fresh sweet potatoes
  • (1 cup of white sugar IF using fresh sweet potatoes ONLY)
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/3 cup of butter
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Topping

2 cup of brown sugar (light)
2 cup of chopped pecans
2/3 cup of flour (all purpose)
2/3 cup of melted butter

Instructions

  1. Pour sweet potatoes and their liquid into pan and bring to a boil
  2. Cook sweet potatoes until tender (~ 15 minutes)
  3. Drain and mash sweet potatoes
  4. Mix filling ingredients together
  5. Spread into cooking pan
  6. Mix topping ingredients together
  7. Sprinkle topping over the filling
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes
